About Paymentery

Paymentery is a personal technical brand focused on understanding technical requirements and turning them into work that can be scoped, delivered and handed over. The starting point is your problem or intended outcome; the approach follows from that.

I handle the conversation, assess the requirement, make the technical decisions and lead delivery, retaining responsibility for the agreed result.

How a broad range of needs is handled

You do not need to decide whether your request belongs to software, operations, design or integration. I examine what exists and what needs to change, then identify what can be taken on and what needs further investigation.

When a defined part calls for specialist skills, I explain the need and involve a specialist for that part. Technical direction, communication and responsibility remain clear. A scope is accepted only when there is an appropriate way to deliver it.

Choosing the foundation is part of the work

A project may need custom development, or an established application that can be configured or adapted. The decision takes account of use, maintenance and ownership rather than a preference for a particular technology.

The clinical platform uses custom applications on Frappe, with ERPNext installed as part of the system. The openGym contribution is Arabic localisation and RTL support. Finlynq was deployed and operated without changes to its upstream source.

Work you can follow

The requirement and existing setup are examined first. If establishing the scope needs technical investigation, its boundaries and cost are agreed before it begins. Deliverables, pricing and expected timing are then put in writing.

During delivery you review usable parts. Changes and their effect on the agreement are discussed as they arise. The result is checked before handover, with defects in the agreed work corrected before closure.

What you receive

Custom code developed specifically for your project transfers to you on full payment, with its source and appropriate documentation. Third-party and open-source components retain their own licence terms.

The operating environment is agreed for the project; hosting with Paymentery is not a requirement. Support and further development are defined in advance, including what each covers.

Tools and responsibility

I use modern tools, including AI, for research, exploring approaches, assisting implementation and reviewing work. Technical decisions and responsibility for checking the output remain mine.

If your requirement involves adding AI to a workflow, the task, data and method of evaluating the result are assessed first. Using a tool to help deliver work does not make it the right solution to every problem.

Experience and published work

Paymentery has worked with clients since 2014 and has served more than a thousand clients across its services.

The published work is the part that can be shown. Internal systems and private engagements may not be described publicly or have their owners identified. You can still bring a requirement for assessment when no published example matches it exactly.

Continuity is arranged in advance

Work is planned and timing communicated, including planned absences. For genuine interruptions, existing cover arrangements are used according to the engagement and its scope. Response and maintenance expectations are defined for each service.

Start with the change you need

You do not need to settle on a technology or prepare a long specification. Explain the current situation and where you want to get to.
